MR. ROBERT “BOB” D. BEIERSCHMITT
Mr. Robert “Bob” David Beierschmitt, age 88, passed away on Sunday, April 29, 2018 in Fort Mohave, Ariz. He was born on July 12, 1929 in Erie, Pennsylvania, to the late Dorothy and George.
Robert served in the Army from 1952 to 1954 in the Korean War and he also worked as a carpet cleaner at Steam Bright Carpet Cleaners until he moved to Fort Mohave Ariz. in 1988. Robert then worked at Sam’s Town and later, the Colorado Belle as a craps dealer.
He was the loving husband of the late Shirley Beierschmitt.
Robert was preceded in death by his brothers, Victor, Henry, Howard, George, Donald, Ralph, and Charles.
Robert is survived by his many nieces and nephews.
He enjoyed playing cards, dancing, gardening, and gambling. He was a member of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church. “Uncle Bob” always had a big smile on his face, was always welcoming and loved to talk about craps and God.
Although him and his wife Shirley were unable to have children on their own, they were a big part of all of their nieces and nephews’ lives. They influenced us all in one way or another. His love for God was so abundant and he loved to share the Word. His favorite passage was John 3:16, “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”
We will miss him dearly, he will never be forgotten nor will his beautiful smile and charisma. He will forever hold a place in our hearts.
Friends and family can pay their respects at the memorial service, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1664 Central Ave, Bullhead City, Arizona, 86442.
