Nicholas Nathan Titus 1979-2019

Nicholas Nathan Titus

Nicholas (Nick) Nathan Titus, of Bullhead City, Arizona, born on August 3, 1979 in Rapid City, South Dakota, to Landa and Mike Titus, passed away at age 39 on January 12, 2019 in Bullhead City, Arizona. Nick grew up in Hill City, SD, where he played and excelled in many sports. Nick’s love of baseball started at age five when he started playing T-Ball, with playing baseball into his high school years, as well as other sports, all of which he excelled in. In high school Nick was a part of the Hill City Volunteer Fire Department. Through all his years in Hill City, Nick charmed coaches, teachers and most adults with his strong work ethic and want to always be a helping hand.

In middle school, Nick met his future wife, Nikki, with whom had his three sons, Laramie, Kyle and Keaton. Nick graduated from Central High School in 1998 and quickly went on to complete electrical courses to become an electrician. In 2002, they moved to Bullhead City, AZ, where they would raise the boys and Nick would live out the rest of his life.
Nick’s love of baseball was passed down to his boys when he started coaching each of them as they became old enough to play. Nick coached the boys through their years of Little League and was very involved in the Bullhead City Little League, being voted to serve on the Board for many years. Nick taught his boys many things in life, but to them, he was always coaching them — from anything to how to swallow milk, to how to towel off after a shower as to not make a mess, to how to be strong, hardworking, dependable men – just like their father.
Nick was an electrician for Robinson Electric for 12 years. He was proud of the reputation he earned as good, hard worker who chose to do the work right the first time. In 2017, Nick started his own business as a Handyman, in which he was enjoying very much as his reputation continued to grow.
Nick enjoyed being outdoors and often could be found fishing, hiking, or riding dirt bikes and quads. He took many trips home with the boys to show them the Black Hills and show them the areas and activities where he grew up. Nick and Victoria began dating in 2016 and he extended his love of baseball and traveling to her children as well. They took many family vacations in their short time together. Nick also loved to play cards and board games with family and friends. And Nick, like his grandpa Roy, was never ashamed to cheat at a game of cards.
Nick had the biggest heart and was there for anyone who needed him. May his huge heart stay a part of all of us.
Nick was the beloved partner of Victoria Dell’Osa. He is survived by his parents, Mike and Landa Titus, sons, Laramie (Avery) Titus, Kyle (Tayler) Titus, and Keaton Titus; stepsons, Rocky Dell’Osa and Dylan Dell’Osa; sister, Breena (John Herder) Titus; grandmother, Ruth Titus; and nephews, Damon, Elijah, Gabriel, and Jakobi. Nick has joined his grandparents who had preceded him in death, Donna and Jim Lowell (maternal grandparents) and Roy Titus (paternal grandfather).
