Dennis Richard Morago, age 71, passed away on October 29th, 2020 at his home in Fort Mohave, AZ after a long battle with Progressive Supranuclear Brain Palsy. He was born on August 1st, 1949 in Los Angeles, CA.
Mr. Morago is survived by his wife, Ava Morago, two brothers, John Morago and Fred Morago, four children, Dustin Cowan, Autum Cowan, Monica Jo Davis, and Dana Morago. He also leaves behind 7 grandchildren, Caidence Dickey, Avery Dickey, Carter Dickey, Tysa Payment-Davis, Brad Davis, Sheri Whinery Davis, and Travis Labrador, many great-grandchildren, and wonderful friends.
Dennis was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA as one of four boys of RoseMarie Morago. Dennis is a veteran of the Vietnam War, where he earned several medals and honors. In 1997 he made his home in Fort Mohave, AZ. He worked hard his whole life to make sure his family had a good life.
Dennis was a very honest, devoted, loving, hardworking son, brother, husband, father, grandfather (or as the grandbabies called him Poppy), and great grandfather. He loved to golf, water ski, and spend any other time he had with his family. He absolutely loved the time he spent with his grandchildren, spoiling to the point where they became rotten little children. There was even a time he even allowed the grandkids to put tattoos all over him!!
Dennis is very loved by his family and friends who surrounded him with love. He will be very much missed but will never be forgotten.
Services will be held on Monday, November 16th at 11:00 am at Desert Lawn Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens located at 9250 S. Ranchero Lane in Mohave Valley, AZ 86440. He will be laid to rest in a National plot at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery located in Boulder City Nevada.
