Robert "Bob" A. Romero
Robert “Bob” A. Romero, age 81, passed away on July 24, 2021 in Bullhead City, AZ. He was born on June 23, 1940 in Aguilar, CO. to parents Tony and Faye Romero.
Bob was active throughout his life. He played Varsity Basketball for Centennial High School in Pueblo, CO. After High School, he joined the Air Force in 1959, leaving the day of his high school graduation. During his years of service in the Air Force, he earned the rank of Technical Sergeant and was stationed in the U.S, Germany, Greenland, and Thailand. He was Honorable Discharged in 1979. After his time in the service, he joined the local law enforcement in Colorado Springs, CO.
Bob enjoyed fishing, watching the Nuggets and the Broncos. He was a member of the Elks Lodge from 1998 to 2021. He served twice as Exalted Ruler aka “Grand Poobah”.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Jaime Romero; previous wife, Steffie Romero; parents: Tony & Faye Romero; and sisters: Rita Trujillo & Virginia Aguilar.
Bob is survived by his daughter, Rena ( Brian) Crochet; son, Robert D. Romero; stepdaughters: Loretta (Nick) Serena, and Sarah Diaz; step-son, Michael (Elizabeth) Trujillo; sister, Pat Salazar; grandchildren: Michael Gabaldon, Michelle Gabaldon, Rick (Evelyn) Romero, Veronica (Aaron) Bush; step-grandchildren: Alex (Nadine), Jacqueline (Antonio), Samuel, Michelle, Angela, Janett, and Monique; nine great-grandchildren, 26 step great-grandchildren, and 36 great-great-grandchildren; Uncles: Ray, Jerry, Charlie and Jim; Aunts: Trini and Florence, and many nieces and nephews.
Special thanks to Brother and Sister-in-law Bobby and Susan Jantz for helping Bob in so many ways in his later life.
Desert Lawn Funeral Home in Bullhead City, AZ is handling his arrangements.
Bob’s urn will be interred at St. Anthony’s Cemetery in Aguilar, CO on September 11, 2021.
