Clifford Ivan Burtt (1936-2021)

August 22, 2021, at 1:47 pm, Clifford Ivan Burtt met the Lord face to face. He was just 10 days short of his 85th birthday. Known by all as Ivan, he chose to spend his whole life as a very dedicated husband, father, an amazing Papa, and the best mechanic known! Ivan carried only one job his entire career and built a great retirement while employed by San Bernardino County. He was a mechanic of heavy equipment, became supervisor, rebuilt tractors, road graders, and spent many cold nights on his back in the snow repairing graders to move snow in the Big Bear area. At his work place, they called him “THE SPOON” as he was always known for stirring things up around work. Ivan’s passion in life was motocross! He built dozens and dozens of fast bikes for motocross as well as for the street. He was the master at building Royal Enfield’s. And when it was too hot outside, he built them in his living room. Ivan lost his son C. Danny Burtt in 2011. Ivan & Danny Burtt were well liked and well known in the California Motocross circuits back in the 70’s to early 80’s. Ivan Burtt is will be reunited with his parents, Clifford Thomas and Alyce Ethyl Burtt. He is survived by his forever wife of 63 years. Ivan fell in love w/ Mary Kathryn when she was 14, married her when she was 16. Mary Kathryn Burtt certainly was a dedicated wife as well! Together, Mary & Ivan built a great family who have all been residents of Lake Havasu since 1985. Ivan was super loved by his daughter Shelly Stone, granddaughter Larissa, and her husband Ryan Zynda, his grandson Danny Stone, and his wife Kalee Stone, and his grandson Kyle Burtt. Ivan had also been blessed with great grandchildren, Kelson and Dax Stone, and a baby girl on the way. Ivan was very loved, an excellent provider his whole life, and his family will miss him dearly.

Join the family as they attend a graveside service for Ivan on Sept 11, 2021 at 10:00 am at Havasu Memorial Gardens, at Ivan’s Sons Graveside.
