Council Woman, Kathy E Bruck, Bullhead City’s Vice Mayor passed away at the age of 71, on Tuesday, October 5th, 2021, at Nathan Adelson Hospice in Las Vegas, Nevada. She was with her loving partner, Pete Peterson, at the time of her death. Kathy was the treasured sister of James & his wife Monica Bray of Fort Mohave and her sister Susan Bray of Bullhead City. Kathy was preceded in death by her husband Franz Bruck, her father, Thomas Bray, her mother, Betty (Ambill) Bray and her brother Paul Bray. She also leaves many nieces & nephews and because she was the thoughtful & compassionate person she was, she touched the lives of more nieces and nephews, genuine and adopted, than can be mentioned here.

Kathy’s presence, care, and consideration to the citizens of Bullhead City and the communities beyond was enormous. She provided leadership and support as a volunteer to a tremendous number of organizations… to name a few: Seniors (Meals on Wheels, Senior Nutrition, WACOG, and as a SHIP, State Health Insurance Assistance Program Volunteer); Children: (Mohave Valley Clothe a Child, Board President, Kindergarten Round UP, Legacy Foundation Backpack Buddies Coordinator); HealthCare: (Mohave County Board of Health, Mohave Community College Radiologic Technology Advisory Committee); and Additional Charitable Organizations: (Order of the Amaranth, Order of the Eastern Star, Past Worthy High Priestess of White Shrine of Jerusalem, VFW Auxiliary).

Kathy brought happiness, joy, warmth and kindness to all she knew. Kathy loved to travel with family & friends. She loved to laugh and have fun, but more than anything she loved to help people.

A Celebration of Life service will be held for Vice Mayor Kathy Bruck on Saturday, October 30th at 1:30 p.m. at Mohave Valley United Methodist Church (1593 E Lipan Blvd), Fort Mohave, AZ. A reception will follow at the Mohave Shrine Club (2580 Miracle Mile), Bullhead City, AZ.
