Carolyn B. Casiana (1945-2022)

After suffering with health issues, Carolyn B. Casiana, age 76, quietly passed away on February 8, 2022, at her home in Needles, California.
She is survived by two sisters, Linda Casiana (Harold Johnson); Marie (Gerald) Black; and one brother, Thomas (Teresa) Casiana. She is preceded in death by her parents, Anthony and Margaret Casiana. Other family members include nephews, Christopher Pfaffenroth and Timothy Casiana and niece, Regina Casiana of Las Vegas.
Carolyn was born on July 24, 1945, in Freeport, Illinois and attended St. John’s School for the Deaf in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and Webster Stanley School in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. Over the years, Carolyn worked for Blue Cross Blue Shield Insurance and the Department of Defense. After retirement, she relocated to Needles and has resided there for about 15 years.
Carolyn loved the outdoors, lakes, rivers, mountains, and other natural wonders. She enjoyed adventures to national parks and other well-known scenic areas, including: The Grand Canyon, Lake Mead, Hoover Dam, Walnut Creek Canyon, Lake Havasu, Las Vegas, and Sedona.
A pet lover, Carolyn had many pet cats and dogs, and was always ready to care for the stray or lost cats and dogs, often feeding them at her back door. The family requests that remembrances be directed to the Needles Humane Society or an Organization for the Deaf.
A huge loving “thank you” to Carolyn’s neighbor, Joan, for always standing by Carolyn’s side. Also, the appreciation to Karen who provided interpreting services and support as well as Mark for his warmth and caring.
Carolyn will always be remembered for her bright smile and the sound of her beautiful laugh.
Interment will be private. Carolyn will be laid to rest with her parents at the Lake View Memorial Park in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.
